About the Castle Coalition:
The Castle Coalition is a nationwide network of citizen activists determined to stop the abuse of eminent domain in their communities. The Coalition helps home and small business owners protect themselves and stand up to governments and developers who seek to take private property for private gain—and it does so for free.
The Castle Coalition provides activists around the country with the tools and strategies necessary to successfully stop the abuse of eminent domain in their cities and towns. It meets across the nation and educates concerned citizens about government-backed land grabs and also hosts training sessions throughout the country for people who are threatened by eminent domain abuse. Through its membership network, it gives support to those communities most endangered by the alliance of tax-hungry governments and land-hungry developers. In the wake of Kelo v. City of New London, it launched its Hands Off My Home campaign, an initiative to create genuine reforms of state and local eminent domain laws.
