One of the ways the Castle Coalition dedicates itself to helping property owners is by getting on the ground and providing hands-on education and support for property owners in situations that are especially egregious. Sometimes holding a workshop for a large number of property owners affected by a number of projects in a large city like New York or Chicago is warranted, and sometimes a visit to lend expertise in organizing a community organization or speaking out about eminent domain is all that’s need to help jump-start a grassroots effort to oppose eminent domain abuse.

Castle Coalition Travels, an on-going series on CastleWatch Daily, will provide first-hand accounts of the Castle Coalition’s involvement across the country and the various ways in which eminent domain abuse affects property owners in small towns like Sugar Creek, Mo., and large metropolises like New York City.
